Founding Heal This Way
After years of collaborating with fellow artists, our founder observed a troubling trend: many relied on their creativity to cope with pain and trauma. Unfortunately, they often lacked access to essential healthcare, such as therapy or psychiatric consultations, due to factors like a busy schedule, lack of insurance, and rising living costs. This unsustainable cycle left them struggling to manage mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Our advocacy aims to address this critical gap, supporting professionals in an industry where many already feel isolated and underserved.
In an effort to combat this issue in the industry, Heal This Way was founded as a 501c-3 Non Profit Organization.
The Mission
Empowering Through Access
Heal This Way exists to bridge the gap between mental health needs and professional support for piercers and front-of-house staff. We focus on removing financial barriers and easing the process of placement with a therapist.Â
The Vision
A Future of Resilience
We envision a piercing community where every individual has the emotional resilience and support system necessary to thrive. Our goal is to help combat the mental health crisis that our community faces.

I had put off getting support for a long time because I assumed the process would be complicated or cost more than I could swing. Heal This Way made it genuinely simple. The application was straightforward, I knew exactly what to expect, and the cost was completely covered by Heal This Way. No out-of-pocket, no financial stress layered on top of everything I was already carrying. The accessibility of this program is real. It removed every obstacle I was facing in getting the help I needed.
